Ik kan volgende week kan ik helaas niet , maar ik zal op tijd stoppen zo dat ook onze spel op tijd afgeraakt .

Anders is het binnen 2 weken hellaas

Ork victory


Warboss Zograd assembled his boyz to advance in the contested territories with the Saim-Hann aeldar (territory 5). The area north of his position was fiercly defended by the aeldari. The weirdboyz were convinced that the ruined temple in the center of that battlefield was the reason of the pointy eared resistance. Zograd wouldn't fail Squighunta twice. He knew that his head would adorn the trophy rack behind the throne of the snakebite warlord if he blew it this time. Not so long ago - after his successfull ambush against the sisters of battle - he forgot to garrison the city so the defenders of mankind easily retook the lost territory (mijn te laat tekstje).

The first mobs were ready for a forced march. Grots and killa kans shielded a huge mob of boyz. "One more or less done, now the uvver one": Zograd sighted. The orkish nature was not accustomed to keep marching in any kind of formation and he had to form up his second mob of slugga boyz, before the promised reinforcements arrived via tellyporta.

This time Zograd was the target of a well laid ambush by a mobile incursion force of Saim-hann Aeldar. An Aeldari farseer has infiltrated the area with a sizeable force - enough to eliminate the few mobz of orks present. The morning before the battle the aeldary psycker has read the runes for the coming battle and the answer was clear "the superior culture will rise while the unworthy will fall". A clearer sign of victory was unimaginable.

A devastating opening salvo was unleashed upon the orks but instinctively they picked up the grotts as living shield so only a few of them died (grot shield). Gretchin were seen as expendable in the ork kultur so no real harm was done. Realizing the initial assault hadn't the foreseen result, the Aeldar farseer ordered the assault. Dire avengers and fire dragons took forward positions to delay the advance of the orkish horde while the wave serpents crashed in the orkish line. Holding the fire prism and two large units of jetbikes as fire platforms.

A weirdboy transported the second mob of orks within charging range of the second farseer. Almost the entire Saim-Hann force opened fire on the mob and even despite the cover, the firepower of the "psychic enhanced scatterlasers" (doom + jinckx + guide) proved too much for the orks to handle. They were slain until the last ork.

The situation looked bleak for Zograd's boyz indeed, untill two full mobz materialised next to the ennemy battleline, but it seemed that they didn't expect combat so they weren't riled up with battle lust (2 keer een gefaalde charge). The aeldari response was incredibly brutal by any standards...

In the center the orks had more luck and the boyz and killa kans broke through the Aeldari vehicles (the wave serpents, vipers and wave serpent) while they slaughtered the bravest elements of the Saim-Hann army (the fire dragons and the dire avengers). After a successful "jump", the last mob of ork boyz charged the windriders and moments later they were ripped to shreds in close combat (a deserved faith for being so cowardly to retreat and shoot all the time). Moments later the other unit of Aldari bikers suffered the same fate...

Only the Aeldari warlord and his accolyte warlock remained of the Saim-Hann incursion force. Knowing the battle is lost - and both gravely wounded - abandoned the battle to recuperate at the ruined temple in the north, where they'll mourn the death of their fallen kin. Zograd grabbed his kustom talky box (a heavily modified imperial commlink): "Put me through to da big boss, I need some more boyz fer da attack on da pointy ears!".

The Necron cohorts marched into the isolated Eldar territory from all directions at once. Without meeting any opposition, they concentrated their army near a kind of primitive launching platform, surrounded by bunkers and entrenchments. Although long-range scanners had shown readings of numerous Eldar jetbikes, the only enemy units in sight were a Crimson Hunter Exarch, a Fire Prism and, much closer, 2 Wave Serpents.

Overlord Imonekh the All-seing, overviewing the battlefield from his Catacomb Command Barge, sensed a trap. “Let them think they are succeeding”, he thought, and briskly gave his orders: “The heavy support units shall open fire. The infantry shall advance but stay out of sight, behind the launching platform in the center. One Doomsday Ark shall position itself at the front, in plain sight – that should trigger a reaction…”. The Necrons’ opening fire was effective enough, with 2 Doomsday Arks, 2 Sentry Pylons and a unit of Heavy Destroyers bringing down the Fire Prism and 1 Wave Serpent.

This provoked a reaction indeed! Dire Avengers advanced out of both the crashed and intact Wave Serpents, while 2 Vipers and a host of Wind Riders, led by a Farseer and 2 Warlocks suddenly flew in from behind a large hill at the far end of the battlefield. The Crimson Hunter screamed along the Eldar right flank, guns blazing. The combination of Saim-Hann psychic and fire power spelled doom for both the exposed Doomsday Ark and the unit of Heavy Destroyers. [lichte voorsprong in VP’s voor de Necrons na deze 1e beurt]

But Imonekh had readied his counterpunch against the outnumbered Saim-Hann. His infantry took up firing positions in the center, while his subordinate, using the trusted Veil of Darkness, teleported the rearguard to the left flank. The entire Necron army opened fire and not even the witchcraft or the lightning reflexes of the Saim-Hann could save them from this storm of Gauss and Tesla fire. 1 Viper, 1 Wind Rider and 2 Dire Avengers along with the 3 leaders were all that was left of the Eldar center! [maar geen enkel VP voor de Necrons, tgv “slechte kaartjes”, en daardoor zelfs 1 extra punt voor de Eldar!]

To Imonekh’s surprise, the few remaining Eldar pushed forward. In what seemed a desperate gamble, the Seer Council and the 2 Dire Avengers advanced on and, with fire support from the Crimson Hunter and the surviving Wave Serpent, took control of the launching platform, eliminating the entire unit of Immortals defending it. [“Supremacy” gehaald!] At the same time, the remaining Eldar on the Necron left succeeded in something very few had witnessed before: shaking the morale of a unit of Immortals! [“psychological warfare” gehaald – en na beurt 2 een flinke voorsprong qua VP’s voor de Eldar!]

“Impossible! They are almost wiped out, they are defeated, why don’t they give up?!” Imonekh fumed – but suddenly the thought hit him: the Eldar were not interested in the destruction of his army, or even their own survival! Their only goal was to evacuate several crucial items scattered on and around the launching platform, no matter the cost!

“Enough! It ends here!”, Imonekh barked, and steered his command barge towards the enemy leaders, while ordering the a final general assault. The surviving Eldar were swiftly gunned down, while the Crimson Hunter was severely damaged and forced to leave the air space above the battlefield. Imonekh himself charged straight at the enemy warlord. The duel, as the whole battle, was brutal but brief, and in a matter of seconds, Imonek's Warscythe parted the Farseer’s head from his shoulders. [de combinatie van “slay the warlord”, “kingslayer” en “priority orders received” leverde hier een groot en beslissend aantal VP’s op]

The 2 Warlocks were the only survivors of the massacre and fled, leaving the Necrons in possession of the battlefield…
